Dimitar is a co-founder of Etiometry and leads the company’s research and development. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria in 2004 and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University in 2010. Prior to founding Etiometry, Dimitar developed a theory for optimal human-machine interaction in achieving complex tasks. This work informed the US Air Force, and provides a basis for Etiometry’s approach to integrating analytics into medical care.
As the Chief Technology Officer of the company, Dimitar is the lead designer of the proprietary Etiometry„¢ decision support framework that quantifies clinical risks based on continuous streams of physiologic data. He has served as the Principal Investigator for several National Institute of Health grants that focus on this problem.
